Performance Review

Once a year, you have a performance review with management. Partly so you can have your say, and partly so management can. There should be both giving and taking, praise and critique. A good performance review also includes specific advice on how you can develop, as well as a discussion of your salary, which isn’t necessarily the same as a pay raise. The annual performance review can never replace daily dialogue. And if you have something to say, don’t be discouraged by others’ ability to appear busy.
