Our daily management consists of two people. One of them is Managing Partner, and thus formally the leader of the agency. But we celebrate the notion that intelligent people don’t need bosses. And need no other hierarchy than that of reason. Which is to say, that all project teams refer to the client. The final responsibility for solving the task at hand is with the team. This doesn’t preclude, rather it prompts criss-cross discussions with other competent colleagues. But if every single decision needs to be authorised at the highest executive level, things never get to lift off.
